[his eyes flare with his quiet words, and he stares at it, running his fingers along its surface.]

[looks up, eyes still burning silver]

[the light dies down, leaving his eyes grey again.]

[loops the amulet back around his neck, then stands.]

I may skip dinner tonight.

[making excuses for some reason. possibly the reason is he's still drunk.]
