[shuts his eyes briefly, and starts the spell, words clear and strong. the ground underneath begins to rupture and he opens his eyes, flaring silver, as metal bursts forth out of the earth and coalesces into a solid wall in front of them.]

Maybe it's different, because of what I could already hear from metal. But all priests hear the gods, Xavier. Just in different ways.
